Recycling Activity Book

I recently created an activity book for Gateshead Council. The book has activities and information to help children understand what can be recycled and to reduce the amount of rubbish that goes to landfill. I really enjoyed working on this book and it was great to be involved in the design process. The book also comes with some crayons and a puzzle.

Your Cat illustration

My illustration for Your Cat Magazine October issue. The short story is by Victoria Connelly.

Coffee and Cake

I went to Scooterworks cafe in London, near Waterloo last weekend to meet up with some lovely illustrators. I love the work of Lisa Evans, Anna Wadham and Katriona Chapman and it was great to catch up with them, not sure if Lisa realised there were some hearts coming out of her head! Scooterworks is one of my favourite cafes in London. It is decorated with retro vespa signs and a few scooters dotted around. They serve delicious coffee and also have two resident cats which I adore that like to stroll around the cafe and if you are lucky they may come and take a seat next to you!

IF: Transportation

An illustration I did a while ago seems fitting for this weeks Illustration Friday called transportation. The illustration was inspired by a booked by Salman Rushdie called 'Haroun and the Sea of stories', this page show some genies being transported on the back of some mechanical animals!

Open Studio Pictures

A few pictures taken at the great open studios last weekend. The photos show the work of Riona O'Shea a botanical artist and illustrator who I share a desk with, Daisy Tempest a printed textiles designer and the work of milliners Kate Underdown and Beth Simpson. The brilliant band The Milkshakers played some 1050's tunes. There are many more brilliant artists at The Papered Parlour that you can view on their website. Thank you to everyone that came. Also near the studio lives a cat with a very bushy tail!
